Pizza Shift Lead
Location: Little Town Pizza Chemainus
Hours: 35–40 hours per week
Schedule: Full-time (5 days per week, weekends required)
Wage: Starting at $19.00 per hour, dependent on experience
About Us
Little Town Pizza Chemainus is a busy and growing pizzeria located in the heart of Chemainus, BC. In November, we moved into our current location on Willow Street, where we share a unique space with a local bakery. We're part of the Roberts Street Pizza family, proudly serving the Cowichan Valley since 1997.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and has natural leadership qualities. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn all aspects of the business and grow into a Shift Supervisor position, with further advancement opportunities available for the right person.
We know Chemainus can be a bit of a commute for some applicants, so we're open to discussing a monthly gas allowance for the right candidate.
One other bonus: we're in the pizza business, but we don't keep late-night hours. We close at 9:00 PM Sunday through Thursday and 10:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
What You'll Be Doing
- Making pizzas and other menu items to company standards
- Running the pizza oven during busy periods
- Assisting customers in person and over the phone
- Helping keep the kitchen organized, stocked, and clean
- Completing food prep to support daily operations
- Working in all areas of the business including pizza assembly, customer service, dishes, and cleaning
- Opening and closing the restaurant according to company procedures
- Completing end-of-night cleaning and closing checklists
- Helping lead shifts and setting the standard for teamwork, cleanliness, and customer service
- Assisting with training and supporting new team members
- Leading by example and helping create a positive work environment

- Leads by example and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed
- Is reliable, punctual, organized, and accountable
- Can communicate effectively with both customers and coworkers
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Takes initiative and works well independently
- Has kitchen, restaurant, or pizza experience (preferred but not required)
- Is interested in learning more about restaurant operations and leadership
