We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team. As an RECE, you will play a crucial role in developing children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills through engaging activities and educational programs. Your ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues will be essential in creating a positive learning atmosphere.
Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children.
- Communicate effectively with children to support their learning and development.
- Collaborate with parents to provide updates on children's progress and address any concerns.
- Utilize time management skills to efficiently organize daily activities and routines.
- Lead small group activities that encourage teamwork and social interaction among children.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of children, including those with special education requirements.
- Operate computers for administrative tasks such as record keeping and communication.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required.
- Experience in childcare settings is preferred; knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills to guide children in their learning journey.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff members.
- Ability to manage time effectively to balance multiple tasks throughout the day.
- Familiarity with computer operation for documentation and communication purposes.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and supporting their growth.
