Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Carpenter for a full time position for 4 months commencing August 1, 2026. The successful candidate needs to be proficient in their trade, follow direction well and be self motivating. Job location is downtown Winnipeg. They are expected to provide their own PPE and appropriate job site clothing and footwear.
Responsibilities
- Install siding, framing, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct woodworking tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling wood components
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all team members
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of job sites, maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to client specificationsQualifications
- Proven experience in construction-related roles with skills in carpentry
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license preferred for site travel or equipment operation. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic construction environment while contributing to quality craftsmanship.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
