Overview
Field and Forge Brewing Co., is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician, to be part of an exciting opportunity in Innisfail, AB. This brewery provides a unique opportunity for talented professional looking to collaborate with an enthusiastic team to build and grow our brand.
The Maintenance Technical will be responsible for maintaining the operation integrity of various production, packaging and restaurant related equipment. This equipment includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, steam and automated components that require maintenance on preventative, predictive and planned schedules. The successful candidate should have a proven history of being able to work in a high paced, team-based environment with a positive can-do attitude. Attention to detail, retention of information and critical thinking is a must.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair packaging lines, brewing equipment, restaurant equipment and building systems
- Preventative Maintenance on all brewing, restaurant and building equipment, such as seal changes, oil and filter changes, HVAC, cleaning, etc
- Routine Boiler maintenance including logging, filter changes, valve repair
- Reverse Osmosis and water treatment filter cleaning and replacement
- Reviewing and interpreting operation and maintenance manuals
- Creating and reviewing preventative maintenance schedules
- Contact suppliers to source required parts and supplies
- Ensuring an organized inventory of critical repair parts
- Rebuild and maintain Centrifuge Separator
- Maintain records of maintenance work completed and parts replaced
- Communicate with supervisors and other personnel to ensure effective coordination of tasks/projects, communicate concerns and needs.
Qualifications
- Must have knowledge of equipment maintenance and ability to understand technical issues.
- Strong Mechanical aptitude.
- Experience working with SAE and Metric Tools
- Boiler certification (If not qualified, Special Boiler Operator Certification will be required within 3 months of start of employment)
- Basic plumbing knowledge and repair experience
- Read and interpret equipment operation and service manuals, schematics.
- Self-Directed, proactive individual
- Ability to lift 50+ Pounds, crouch, bend, twist and stand for extended periods
Additional Beneficial skills or knowledge
- Interest in Brewing
- Electrical experience
- Familiarity or experience with PLC’s and Automation
- 4th Class Boiler Certification
- Self motivated while also willing to ask questions and seek direction
- Previous experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software
