We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Manager who will have complete oversight of the finance, accounting functions, including managing and overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, preparing, and reviewing all financial records to ensure compliance, budgeting, analysis, and financial forecasting and risk management. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and management as well as proven experience in leading the Finance team.
What you will be working on:
· Oversee the finance and admin team, providing leadership, guidance and mentorship to team members
· Advise and assist with the preparation of company business plans, specifically in regard to forecasts, budgets, financial management, and business risk
· Have hands-on involvement in all accounting operational cycles, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, payroll, capital assets, accounts payable, invoicing & receivables, revenue, and statutory reporting, using QuickBooks
· Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting requirements
· Ensure quality control over all financial transactions
· Oversee the process of recording vendor bills, and coordination of the vendor bill approval process to ensure timely payment and optimum cash flow utilization
· Manage cash flow to ensure company liabilities, remittances and vendors are paid in a timely manner
· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
· Support month-end and year-end close processes and monthly reporting
· Report and analyzes KPI on a weekly basis
· Assist in allocating financial resources and controlling budget
· Lead the implementation of a new ERP software
· Oversee communication with the IT company on issues related to IT needs and requirements, maintenance of office equipment, including purchase and routine maintenance
· Negotiate and oversee mergers, acquisitions and partnerships
· Oversee the company group benefits ang RRSP program
Who are we looking for?
Essential qualifications:
· A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Finance Manager
· Proven success managing an Accounting team (currently 4 reports)
· Advanced degree in Accounting
· CPA or CMA preferred
· Strong Microsoft Office skills
· Strong proficiency and hands-on experience working with QuickBooks
· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
· Excellent analytical skills, ability to deconstruct financial data to identify underlying issues and opportunities.
· Experience with analyzing and interpreting financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations
· Critical thinker with strong attention to detail
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Demonstrated ability to deal with customers and manage multiple/concurrent/ conflicting priorities and demands
· High level of integrity and professionalism
· Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
Additional, ‘nice to have’ qualifications:
· Experience in the security industry
· Experience working with Accumatica ERP
· Experience working with QuoteWerks, SharePoint
· Have a good understanding of financial integration, automated financial flow to ERP system
· HR management experience
