Overview:
We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Refinishing Technician to join our auto body team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition using expert refinishing techniques. If you take pride in quality craftsmanship, have a sharp eye for color and finish, and enjoy working in a fast-paced shop environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning surfaces
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve factory or custom finishes
- Apply paint using spray guns and other tools, ensuring smooth and even coats
- Perform final finish work including buffing, polishing, and touch-ups
- Inspect work for quality and accuracy, making corrections as needed
- Follow all safety and environmental regulations in the paint booth and shop
- Maintain tools, equipment, and paint inventory in an organized, clean state
- Collaborate with body technicians and estimators to meet deadlines and customer expectations
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in automotive painting or refinishing
- Proficient in mixing and applying automotive paint systems (waterborne and/or solvent-based)
- Familiarity with OEM standards, refinishing processes, and color matching
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
