Facility Supervisor
The Facility Supervisor is accountable for supervision of the facility in the absence of the Facility Manager, including supervision of the general public and part-time staff. This includes responding to customer questions/requests/complaints /concerns, management of emergency situations, and supervision of banquet hall functions to ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures as well as Municipal Alcohol Policy regulations. Supervision and scheduling of part-time staff and community school security staff.

Duties will include:
supervision of the general public and part-time staff
responding to customer inquiries, requests, complaints, concerns
managing any emergency situations
supervising of banquet hall functions to ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures, including Municipal Alcohol Policy regulations
scheduling part time staff and community school security staff
overseeing of on-the-job training of part-time facility staff and completion of all new hires documentation
completion of reports (accident/incident, function summary, AED checks)
monitor receipt of room set-ups and energy management controls to ensure customer comfort and assist in achieving facility energy conservation goals
responsible for filing ISO logs, quality reports, accident/incident reports, customer feedback forms

Qualifications:
3 year college diploma in Recreation, Business Administration, Sports Administration, Facilities Management
Minimum three (3) year's of experience working in a recreation facility (municipal environment preferable) in a supervisory capacity and/or a combination of training, education and experience deemed equivalent
Knowledge of pool/arena operations
Certified Pool Operator certification
Standard First Aid with CPR C/AED
B-Ticket Refrigeration certification considered an asset
Knowledge of building automation systems
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Ontario Health & Safety Act and Regulations
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Ontario Regulation 565 Public Pool
Excellent interpersonal, mediation and conflict resolution skills
Committed to quality customer service and innovation to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Valid Class 'G' driver's license and clear abstract
Ability to provide a current criminal reference check satisfactory to the Town of Ajax
This is a non-union position that works 35 hours per week and is scheduled for mainly afternoon and weekend shifts. The Town offers a comprehensive benefit package with paid sick and vacation leave; plus an OMERS pension.
