Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital pharmacy, particularly in pediatrics and acute care settings. As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safe and effective medication administration while providing exceptional patient care. Your expertise in medical terminology and commitment to patient health will be essential in collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
Duties
- Review and interpret physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness of therapy.
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Provide medication counseling and education to patients and their families regarding proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized medication plans for patients, particularly in acute care settings.
- Monitor patient progress and make recommendations for therapy adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and medication management practices.
- Stay current with developments in pharmacotherapy, including new medications and treatment protocols.
Experience
- A Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred, with a focus on pediatrics or acute care being highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmacology and patient care.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

Pay: $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
