The
Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the key role of

What You’ll Do
-
Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily transportation operations for WAHA.

Develop and maintain transportation schedules to support staff commuting and operational requirements

Supervise boat captains, deckhands, and other marine transportation staff during the boating season

Coordinate staffing schedules and vessel assignments to meet operational needs

Serve as the primary liaison with helicopter service providers and contractors

Coordinate commuter schedules and transportation requirements with helicopter operators

Oversee WAHA’s fleet of vehicles and ensure operational readiness

Maintain current vehicle registrations, insurance documentation, permits, and licensing requirements

Supervise transportation personnel, including scheduling, performance management, coaching, and training

Ensure compliance with applicable transportation legislation, organizational policies, and health and safety standards

Work collaboratively with hospital departments, leadership, and external partners to coordinate transportation services
What You Bring
-
Diploma or degree in business administration, transportation management, logistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum of 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, or a related field

Experience managing staff schedules and coordinating multiple transportation services
-
Experience working in remote or northern operations is considered an asset

Knowledge of marine transportation operations and fleet management is preferred

Ability to communicate in the local native Cree language is an asset

Salary: $114,309.00 - $136,675.50
