The Dufresne Group is currently seeking two Software Developer/Analyst for our Information Systems Team within our Home Office located at 116 Nature Park Way in Winnipeg, MB .

As a Software Developer/Analyst you will be responsible for utilizes industry standard methods to: gather requirements, design, develop, implement, document, maintain and support reporting systems, databases, applications, and collaboration tools.

As a Software Developer/Analyst you will:
Collaborate with the end user community to identify business requirements and formulate system scope and objectives for a variety of business initiatives, from applications to simple ad hoc requests

Design, develop, implement and support enterprise reporting solutions and provide ad-hoc data analysis

Design, implement and maintain databases in a client/server environment with respect to access methods, access time, data validation and integrity checks, organization, security, documentation, and statistical methods

Assist in systems integration design, development, testing and data validation for applications developed internally and by third parties

Design, code, test, debug, document and deploy new software applications and enhancements to existing software applications

Support end users in application usage and administration through consultation, training and documentation as needed

Stay current on new and emerging technologies

As a successful candidate you will have the following:
Computer Science degree or equivalent education and experience

Work experience developing client/server software

Knowledge of relational database concepts, usage and design

Experience with MS SQL Server including Reporting, Analysis, Integration Services, and Microsoft Power BI or similar report generation tools

Experience with MS Visual Studio or equivalent IDE

Proficient in ASP.NET, VB.NET,C#, T-SQL, HTML5, JavaScript, XML

Experience working with APIs (REST/SOAP) would be an asset

Strong background reading and writing SQL queries

High attention to detail and ability to problem solve

Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, and/or extra hours depending on project requirements and deadline including being on call to provide after hours support as needed

Travel may be required from time to time in Canada and USA.
