Our client is seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter to join their operation. The successful candidate will be comfortable with welding, fitting, material handling, reading drawings, and working independently on projects of varying sizes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous welding and fitting experience.
- Ability to read drawings and apply welding and fitting knowledge to structural designs.
- Welding certification is an asset.
- CWB certification/experience is an asset.
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and advanced machinery after appropriate training.
- Ability to safely operate cranes as trained.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently in an outdoor setting.
- Physically capable of lifting, stacking, organizing, and handling materials.
- CSA-approved high-ankle steel-toe safety boots required.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fitting duties according to specifications and company direction.
- Operate hand tools, machinery, and cranes as trained.
- Read drawings and complete welding/fitting work according to structural designs.
- Stack, lift, paint, organize, and count materials as required.
- Repair existing materials when necessary.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
- Complete production reports based on daily activities.
- Maintain required welding certification standards.
- Work independently on projects of varying sizes and durations.
- Follow all company safety and production procedures.
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
