At Highrise, we go beyond basic renovations; we partner with our clients to streamline their projects while minimizing disruptions. We educate our clients on available options during the renovation process, guiding them to make informed decisions that align with their project goals.
What We Do: Our comprehensive range of services includes, but is not limited to:
- Weather sealants (caulking, glazing)
- Window and door replacement
- Waterproofing
- Concrete work (chipping, rebar, pouring, forming, finishing)
- Brick and block work
- Tuck pointing
- Structural concrete
- Use of large tools and equipment (jack hammers, demo saws, plate compactors, bobcats, excavators)
- Railing replacement
- Balcony repairs (concrete, membrane, railings)
- Painting
- Sandblasting
- Small excavation
- Slab repair
- Shear wall repair
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct heavy physical lifting, frequent prolonged standing/walking, and moving heavy equipment/supplies.
- Assist with steel stud framing, wood framing, drywall installation, insulation, taping, and painting.
- Engage in demolition, cement finishing, concrete restoration, and form stripping.
- Utilize knowledge of construction practices, methods, equipment, materials, and tools.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Participate in site inspections and cultivate an onsite health and safety culture, leading by example.
- Follow supervisors' instructions for manual labor tasks.
- Ensure proper cleaning and storage of construction equipment and tools.
- Work independently and as part of a team, supervising a crew of 5-10 individuals.
Applicant Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction (required).
- Must possess a valid driver's license and own a vehicle.
- Experience in concrete forming, pouring, and finishing.
- Proficient with hand and power tools.
- Comfortable practicing safe work procedures and working at heights.
- Additional health and safety certifications are a plus.
- Valid WHMIS Training is preferred.
