In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with key stakeholders to understand their needs and architect custom SharePoint solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration. What you'll do:
Intranet Development & Design: Lead the development, design, and implementation of the company intranet on SharePoint Online, ensuring it adheres to corporate brand guidelines and provides a modern, user-friendly experience for employees.
Customization & Visual Design: Design and customize SharePoint sites, pages, layouts, and themes to create a visually appealing, intuitive platform that facilitates collaboration, document management, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements Gathering: Conduct meetings with internal stakeholders and department leads to gather content, requirements, and user feedback. Outline project status, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Migration & User Transition: Lead and support the migration of data and users to SharePoint, ensuring minimal downtime, a smooth transition process, and proper training for end-users.
Continuous Improvement: Work closely with internal teams to continuously assess and enhance the intranet’s functionality, usability, and design. Implement new features and upgrades that reflect evolving business needs.
Training & Support: Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of training sessions, user guides, and ongoing support related to SharePoint and the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem, ensuring employees are fully equipped to utilize the platform efficiently.
Security & Permissions: Manage SharePoint security groups, access controls, and user accounts to ensure compliance with governance policies and secure collaboration across the organization.
Documentation & Governance: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for SharePoint configurations, processes, governance policies, and best practices to ensure long-term maintainability and adherence to company standards.
Integration & Workflow Automation: Support the integration of SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 services (such as Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange) and third-party tools. Implement workflow automation using Power Automate and other Office 365 tools to improve efficiency and collaboration.

Must Haves:

3+ years of experience as a SharePoint Administrator or similar role, with a focus on SharePoint site design and administration.
- Experience designing and developing branded, visually engaging SharePoint intranet solutions that prioritize user experience.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint document management, permissions architecture, and governance best practices.
- Proven ability to lead data migrations to SharePoint while ensuring minimal disruption to end users.
- Expertise in integrating SharePoint with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Exchange, Power BI, and automating workflows using Power Automate.
- Excellent communication skills and experience gathering user requirements, conducting training sessions, and providing ongoing support to a diverse user base.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for administration and automation tasks is a plus.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications are desirable.
- Canadian Citizenship/Legally able to work in Canada
