Lakeland Catholic School Division is currently seeking a full-time Educational Assistant to support students at École Notre Dame High School in Bonnyville, AB for the 2026-2027 school year.
Serving students from Grades 9 through 12, this position requires a skilled and compassionate professional with a strong background in supporting adolescence—particularly those with behavioural needs, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or other complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to students with diverse learning needs in classroom and individual settings

Implement behavioural support strategies aligned with student support plans
-
Assist with emotional regulation, engagement, and independence skills
-
Work collaboratively with teachers and inclusive education teams in a Catholic school setting

Maintain student dignity and a safe, respectful learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
-
Minimum Level 1 Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certification or willingness to obtain (Level 2 or 3 preferred)

Demonstrated experience supporting students with complex learning needs

Strong working knowledge of behavioural strategies and intervention techniques

Ability to maintain professionalism and emotional regulation in dynamic situations

Alignment with the values and mission of Catholic education.
Additional Assets:
-
NVCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention), First Aid, or similar certification (or willingness to obtain)

Familiarity with assistive tech and alternative learning tools
-
Strong interpersonal, documentation, and teamwork skills
-
French language skills are considered an asset, but are not required for this position
