Position: Boiler Operator/ 3rd Class Power Engineer
Salary: $48 per hours and OT after 8 hrs a day
We are on the hunt for an experienced Boiler Operator / 3rd Class Power Engineer to support operations at a state-of-the-art mine facility located in the Far North.
This is a fly-in, fly-out contract position working a regular 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, with 12-hour shifts. Flights are provided, and camp accommodations are available for the duration of the rotation.
Estimated start date: September 2026. This opportunity is best suited for candidates who are currently available and not committed to another position, as the successful candidate will be expected to start in September.

Main Accountabilities:
- Will work with tools of the trade to operate, troubleshoot, maintain and repair boilers, HVAC equipment/systems, electrical equipment/systems, plumbing equipment/systems and refrigeration equipment/systems to achieve the most economical and efficient results.
- Maintenance of all mechanical, electrical and craft services, ensuring operation within design capabilities and achieving proper environmental conditions prescribed by the company.
- Maintain the efficient operation of the facility equipment and systems.
- Perform requisite daily communication with Supervisor and Building Personnel on matters relating to the services performed.
- Develop operating instructions and procedures for equipment and systems..
- Establish and maintain periodic operational testing schedules for critical systems and equipment.
Evaluate all equipment and systems operationally and provide Supervisor with a list of deficiency items and recommendations for improvement.

Main Qualifications:
- Valid TSBC 3rd Class Power Engineering Ticket or higher
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- HVAC experience
- Knowledge and experience of industry related safe work practices
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Consistently strive for personal and operational improvement including the ability to upgrade required skills and competencies
- Industry related Safety Training
- Willingness and capacity to work in adverse conditions, rotational work and artic environment
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment, self-starter and self-motivated, capable of working autonomously with minimum supervision and guidance
- Trouble shooting capabilities are an asset
Capable of functioning within a multidisciplinary team of journeymen
