Howe Sound Pulp & Paper Corporation is currently recruiting for entry level labouring positions. Labour pool employees may be assigned to all areas of the mill as needed. The position is responsible for a variety of job activities, including but not limited to housekeeping, equipment operation, and other general mill duties as assigned or required. The duties depend on the priority of the assignments. A successful applicant must be willing and able to meet the demands of a 24/7 operation, including working a 12-hour rotating shift which includes weekends and holidays. This is a bargaining unit position with a starting wage rate of $34.72/hr and applicable shift premiums. All PPE will be provided. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of your assigned area
Comply with health, safety and environmental standards
Complete other duties as assigned
Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule

Ability to perform repetitive, manual tasks for extended periods of time; included, but not limited to standing for long hours, walking, shoveling, climbing stairs, bending and lifting
Ability to work with or around machinery and equipment
