POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for receiving and warehousing product and supplying the production lines in a timely, efficient and safe manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect department raw material request forms and retrieve material from warehouse (i.e. door slabs, aluminum, vinyl, fastening devices etc.) and supply materials to requesting departments.
- Work as a team to properly warehouse materials for Production.
- Assist and/or operate overhead crane to unload glass truck.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years previous experience in receiving/material handling required.
- Previous forklift and leadership experience an asset.
- Must be in good physical shape as job requires heavy lifting and extensive walking.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, effective communication, time-management and organizational skills.
- Work with a sense of urgency, strong retention of information and attention to detail (accuracy for completing paperwork).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Production environment where you will be regularly exposed to noise and lifting.
- Personal protective equipment (CSA approved footwear, hearing and eye protection) must be worn.
