Framer Responsibilities:
- Component Identification
- Perform basic carpentry.
- Install steel and wood framed structures.
- Consistently ensure all framing, and structural elements are perfectly plumb, level, and square.
- Layout preparation
- Assist with construction site preparation and cleanup.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Operate hand and power tools as directed.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
Experience:
- Previous framing experience preferred
- Must have previous construction experience
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must be comfortable working from heights.
- Must meet the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing and lifting
- Knowledge of operating heavy equipment is an asset.
Additional Requirements:
- Access to reliable transportation
- Minimum G2 license (preference may be given to higher class licenses)
- Willingness to travel to job sites and potentially stay overnight throughout the week at company provided accommodations
