o Responsible for effective and efficient clinical support of patients.
o Schedule clinic appointments, coordinate calendar of endo, clinic & surgery days.
o Triaging of calls, slating, & SWIM.
o Knowledge of Telus Health/Microsoft Office/50 wpm
o 2-3 years experience in a clinical and/or surgical office setting.
o Doctors’ assistant or MOA Certificate or Nursing background.
o Planning, organization, problem solving & time management skills.
o Verbal skills, writing skills, slating/OR appointment knowledge.
o Patient admissions and medical terminology a must.
o Strict Adherence to Patient Privacy and Centre Confidentiality Policies.
o Proficiency in computer applications: Windows, Microsoft Outlook, email, and internet research.
o Asset will be given to applicants that have PART and EMR experience.
o Demonstrated planning, problem solving and oral communication, and conflict resolution skills.
o Exceptional organizational skills.
o Ability to maintain confidentiality.
o Ability to work in and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
o Ability to work independently and with a team.

Essential Job Functions:
o Primary reception coverage and maintenance of phone system; includes greeting clients, answering the telephone, assisting in booking client appointments, confirming client appointments. Welcome new and existing patients and visitors, in a friendly, welcoming, approachable manner.
o Schedule patients for hospital colonoscopies and surgeries.
o Send, receive, and distribute faxes on a timely basis.
o Prepare mailings as required.
o Receive phone calls and be able to prioritize calls and real-time patient interaction.
o Operate computer to access electronic medical records, schedules, and other basic office support software.
o Use automated systems to access, enter, and edit patient information.
Pay: $16.00-$25.00 per hour
