Overview
We are Ontario Decor, one of the largest distributors of wallpaper in N.America, seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate for our Ontario Decor facility , located at HWY 400/ Steeles area, with at least 7 years of experience, to join our dynamic distribution center team. This role is vital in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping, receiving and inventory management. The ideal candidate will possess experience operating equipment and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
Duties
- Operate equipment including forklifts and pump trucks to load and unload materials
- Manage shipping and receiving processes with precision and efficiency
- Perform order picking and packing to fulfill customer orders accurately
- Conduct product lifting(up to 20kg) of materials safely in accordance with safety protocols
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of warehouse storage areas
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all operations
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals and deadlines
- Working with couriers and their software: FedEx, UPS, GLS , Canpar and other vendors
- Working with LTL providers
- English Language Skills: Ability to draft professional emails, and clear verbal communication for client or team interactions.
- Office Productivity Suites: Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Email & Communication: Ability to manage emails professionally, use calendar software (like Outlook or Google Calendar)
Experience
- 7+ years of experience
- Prior warehouse experience is highly preferred
- Experience operating forklifts and pump trucks is mandatory
- Proven ability to perform product lifting(up to 20kg) safely and efficiently
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures including load & unload operations
- Knowledge of order fulfillment, packaging and inventory control processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
