We are looking for a dependable, experienced carpenter who takes pride in their work and can handle the day-to-day demands of commercial construction. This position involves working at multiple job sites and requires someone who can work independently as well as part of a crew.
Responsibilities
- Perform general carpentry on commercial construction projects
- Wood and steel stud framing
- Install doors, frames, hardware, trim and finishes
- Complete blocking, backing and miscellaneous carpentry
- Read and work from construction drawings and specifications
- Measure, cut and install materials accurately
- Demolition and reconstruction
- Work safely and maintain a clean, organized job site
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades
- Complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard
What We're Looking For
- Previous carpentry/construction experience
- Commercial construction experience is preferred
- Ability to read drawings and take accurate measurements
- Comfortable using common hand and power tools
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel between job sites as required
- Strong attention to quality and safety
