Job Details: Aurora Academic Charter Primary School is looking for a part-time Grade 4 teacher to job-share with another teacher. It is a Probationary position and there is a possibility of extending into the next school year. Experience with elementary or early childhood education is a requirement. Experience and a high comfort level in Google apps for schools required. Part-time for 2025-2026 but could expand and be continuous the following year.
Aurora Academic Charter Primary School is a public charter school that believes that all students can achieve excellence within a highly structured direct instruction and strong academic focused environment, specifically in Literacy and Numeracy. Aurora is one of the top 20 elementary schools in Alberta in provincial exam achievement. The successful applicant will be expected to attend training in these areas as a condition of employment.

Salaries are on par with other larger school districts, teachers are associate members of the ATA with a collective agreement, and the school has a team-centered approach with all staff contributing to the development of the school community spirit.
Required General Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education Degree specializing in Elementary Education
- Knowledge of a student-centered highly structured direct instruction model
- The ability to use technology (especially the Google apps and platform) as a tool to enhance learning
- Must be living in the Edmonton area in order to be contacted and interviewed
- A clear Alberta Teacher Registry

- Most recent evaluation (principal, mentor teacher in the AFX, supervisor, etc.)
- Valid Alberta Interim or Professional Teaching Certificate
- Current Police Check and Vulnerable Sector Check (current within the past 6 months) from a Canadian police service. You will not be contacted for an interview unless you have one that is current or in the process of getting one.
