Engineer, Materials / Chemical / Mechanical / Process
We are looking for a Production Engineer for our Fort Saskatchewan facility. We are interested in hearing from candidates with qualifications and experience in Materials, Chemical, Mechanical or Process Engineering. In this role you will work as part of a small Engineering team responsible for a range of activities including leading continuous improvement projects with emphasis on quality, process, and product improvements; managing new equipment implementation from specification to commissioning; and troubleshooting issues that arise within operations.
Your Responsibilities:

Embrace, comply and promote current Plant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policies related to engineering, maintenance, and production operations.

Provide leadership and project management for process and equipment improvements including support for new product launches.

Provide technical expertise and support to the maintenance and production teams.

Support the maintenance of equipment files including regular inspections and maintenance as per the applicable codes and standards.

Identify and support initiatives for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Liaise with the quality department to lead specific improvement projects.

Support quality assurance in conducting investigations and implementing corrective action as part of the engineering team.

Provide rotational on-call coverage for the operations team if required.

Support operations team in issuing safe work permits if required as part of project work.
Your Profile:

2+ years of experience in a continuous manufacturing/process environment

Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering

Registered with APEGA or eligible for PEng
-
Experience of LEAN principles is desirable

Understanding of quality management systems (e.g. ISO9001) is an asset
