We are excited to add 2 NEW!! experienced, results-driven RECRUITERS, to be based out of our Fort McMurray (Fort McKay/Wood Buffalo Region) office as a member of our Human Resources Team that is motivated, committed and wants to grow with us. It is important that we have our recruiters on site, and in person; this is NOT a remote position.
These are one-year term positions, with the possibility of extension, working 12-hour days on a 7/7 rotation, to assist with the increased demand we are facing to fill and support our teams appropriately.
Recruiters are a vital role that drives the recruitment process and attracts top talent with the desire and ability work independently and as part of a team. A Recruiter will work as a collaborator with the management team and candidate pipeline and is accountable for the quantity and quality of applications as well as the candidate and hiring manager experience. They are focused on helping accomplish recruitment-related tasks and is the liaison between the organization, potential candidates and clients/partners.

As a Recruiter YOU will:
- Collaborate with managers to define job qualifications and requirements
- Manage the recruitment process within the Human Resource Management System
- Review resumes and pre-screen surveys for high volumes of applicants
- Source candidates using various methods: online platforms, career fairs, networking, educational institutes, and direct sourcing
- Develop and maintain strong candidate pipelines
- Maintain detailed candidate records and ensure a smooth, positive candidate experience
- Schedule and conduct initial phone or in-person interviews
- Facilitate the full interview process, including reference checks
- Actively participate in job fairs and branding initiatives to attract top talent
- Provide innovative strategies for talent acquisition
- Assist with the orientation process as required
- Create and maintain recruitment-related reports, spreadsheets, and tracking systems
- Serve as an on-site liaison between operations and HR, supporting managers and teams

The Recruiter will be expected to work 12 hours per day, on a 7 on and 7 off rotation.
What we need from YOU:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant, progressive experience in recruitment
- Certificate or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of provincial legislation across Canada
- Ability to contribute to policy and procedure development
- Proven ability to proactively build strong professional relationships and networks
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently
- Team player, willing to cross-train within the department
- Strong organizational skills, capable of managing tight deadlines and a diverse workload
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments, analyze situations and make recommendations
- High ethical standards with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products
- Experience delivering presentations to large groups
- Familiarity with ADP (an asset)
- Understanding of the products, services, and relevant industries
- Strong social media and intranet navigation skills
As part of our Hiring Process, YOU will be asked to:
- Complete a practical/technical, scenario-based interview
- Provide a minimum of a Class 5 Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract
- Provide a criminal record check
- Complete drug and alcohol screening with a negative result
- Complete a fitness evaluation related specifically to your position
