Experienced Barista & Café Team Member (Full-Time)

Freebird Market is a high-volume, chef-driven market and café — not a traditional coffee shop.
We produce everything from scratch in our 8,000 sq. ft. kitchen and operate a fast-paced front-of-house environment. We are looking for a strong, reliable, and experienced team member who can confidently keep up with service and support the team across multiple stations.
This role is ideal for someone who is quick, organized, and comfortable working under pressure, while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
This is a hands-on, fast-paced position. You will be expected to move efficiently between tasks and support overall service, including:
- Operating POS and handling transactions accurately
- Preparing espresso-based drinks, coffee, and matcha
- Serving salads and prepared foods with proper portions
- Heating sandwiches and pizzas to order
- Assisting customers with product knowledge and recommendations
- Packaging retail items and catering orders with attention to detail
- Restocking and maintaining clean, organized displays
- Keeping the café clean, stocked, and service-ready at all times
- Supporting food safety procedures, temperature logs, and daily tasks
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is dependable, efficient, and team-oriented, with a strong understanding of fast-paced service:
- Barista experience is required
- Smart Serve certification is required
- Experience in a café, restaurant, or food service environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask while maintaining speed and accuracy
- A proactive mindset — able to jump in where needed without direction
- Full availability is required (including evenings and weekends)
