About Us
The Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club (RNSC), established in 1891, is Canada’s oldest continuously operating ski club and a registered non-profit. It offers programs for Nordic skiers of all ages and abilities, featuring over 30 km of groomed trails for skate and classic skiing, including 6 km of lit night trails. RNSC provides skier development programs for ages 4 and up, including SDP, Elementary Ski S'kool, High School Ski, Ski After School, Masters, private/group lessons, and a Race Team. Governed by a volunteer board, RNSC relies on dedicated staff and volunteers for trail maintenance, grooming, special events, and communication via newsletters, social media, and the website. The club employs a General Manager, Head Coach, Operations Manager, and Lodge Manager, as well as contracted coaches, instructors, and a Bookkeeper.
Position Overview
The RNSC is seeking motivated and friendly Ticketing and Rental Coordinators (TRC) to deliver exceptional customer service at the Nordic Lodge. This highly visible, front-line position involves managing ticket sales, assisting with ski and snowshoe rentals, and addressing visitor inquiries. The TRC will help maintain lodge operations, update trail conditions, and support various administrative tasks. Collaboration with the General Manager and other team members is essential to promote club services and enhance the overall visitor experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the opening and closing of Nordic Lodge facilities.
- Manage ticket sales and ski/snowshoe rentals.
- Maintain season membership system.
- Maintain ski and snowshoe equipment.
- Respond to visitor inquiries via various channels (in-person, phone, email).
- Provide regular updates on trail conditions across platforms (website, snowphone).
- Manage inventory of lodge supplies, including office, cleaning, and restroom products.
- Conduct till reconciliation and cash-out procedures.
- Execute custodial duties.
- Perform general administrative tasks.
- Adhere to the club's Health & Safety program and participate in related meetings as required.
Shared Responsibilities
- Support and assist the Program Coordinator and instructors/coaches with program delivery (prepare/maintain equipment, provide information to participants etc.)
Additional Responsibilities
- The TRC may take on additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Great customer service skills.
- Highly organized with effective communication skills in diverse groups.
- Proficient in administrative tasks and computer skills.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently or in a team.
- Willing to engage in the ongoing changes of a small, growth-oriented organization.
- Able to prioritize tasks within a weekly time frame.
- Familiarity with software such as Google Workspace.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with Nordic ski facility operations, including the RNSC.
- Previous experience in a service industry (guest services, retail, food/beverage etc.)
- Familiarity with point-of-sale software.
Work Schedule & Location
This is a part-time (approx. FTE 0.88) seasonal position, starting in mid November and ending in early April. The work is based at the RNSC Nordic Lodge, located approximately 15 minutes driving time from downtown Revelstoke. Reliable transportation to/from the Nordic Lodge is required.
WAGE
$24.60 - $26.00/hour, dependent on experience and qualifications (RNSC is a Living Wage Employer)
