Warehouse Technician
Stormtec Water Management - Calgary, AB
A leader in environmentally conscious water management solutions in Western Canada with offices in B.C. and Alberta has need for an efficient, industrious employee to work in our small warehouse/Calgary office to inspect, repair our equipment of water pumps, hoses, fittings, unload/load trucks and work collaboratively with the rest of our team, pitching into whatever is needed that day.
Stormtec is a specialty water management company that makes the lives of their customers easier by taking on their water management challenges. When we do it right, no one notices us doing our work – not our customers, not the communities we work in, not the fish in the local streams. Except that our customers realize we don’t have the ongoing headache of water management. We provide water management solutions for sediment control, contaminated water treatment, dewatering and bypass solutions in the construction industry.
We’ve doubled in size over the last three years and expect to double again. We have a young, progressive team of 25 staff in our Calgary office.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, replace, repair (training provided) pumps, hoses, pipes, fittings, etc. Be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Prepare inspection, maintenance, work reports and record details on forms
- Following the process in maintaining an accurate count of all incoming and outgoing equipment, hoses, chemicals and fittings.
- Keep the warehouse safe and organized by placing equipment in designated areas, sweeping and cleaning up.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs., load and unload trucks, keeping an accurate record in provided logs.
- Be able to drive the forklift safely.
- Check all deliveries against packing slips to determine if there are missing parts/equipment.
- Drive into town for local pick-ups as required.

Qualification and Skills
- Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license with a respectable driving record
- Ability to lift heavy loads of up to 50lbs
- Previous mechanical experience with diesel engines and electrical systems would be preferred
- Willingness to work overtime, and on call, particularly during busy season is required
- Certified Forklift Operator license is preferred
Salary Range: $20.00/hr - $24.00/hr (depending on experience) plus benefits
