You will thrive in this role if you are able to work with minimal supervision under tight deadlines. The Bookkeeper is in charge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation, and month-end closing. Additionally, the Bookkeeper will handle coding, light journal entries or general ledger reconciliation and perform data entry, cash applications, and full cycle A/P. Duties
- Maintain monthly accounting close
- Update general ledger
- Qualified in credit card management and reconciliation
- Familiar with Accounts Receivable
- Handle monthly accounting close
- Supplementary assignments when necessary
- Form monthly reconciliations, financial statements, and all supporting documents
- Classify sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
- Enter Accounts Payable
- Draw up cash flow projections, as needed
- Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
- knowledge of payroll (salary and hourly) an asset
- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
- Experience working in a dynamic and changing food company environment a plus
- Proven knowledge of Invoice Processing
- Practical knowledge of Annual Physical Inventory
- General familiarity with QuickBooks
- Knowledge of Billing Collection
- Billing experience
- Invoice Payment experience highly desired
- Well-founded grasp of Monthly Invoices
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
- Bookkeeping experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Significant accounting experience, including as a bookkeeper preferred
- Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes
Experience
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles, preferably within a food manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of related experience- Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, SAP. PeopleSoft, and other relevant tools
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and auditing practices
- Experience in payroll processing, account analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with financial services regulations and standards is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analytical skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new software platforms and evolving accounting practices
- Working towards CPA designation an asset

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
