Position Overview
We’re hiring full-time team members for the summer season to manage dock operations at William Hawrelak Park. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys working outdoors, stays calm under pressure, and can handle both customers and equipment efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Manage daily kayak and SUP rentals (check-ins, waivers, customer flow)
- Launch and receive equipment safely from the dock
- Deliver clear safety briefings and basic paddling instruction
- Lead guided tours in William Hawrelak Park (including occasional evening shifts)
- Maintain equipment, docks, and overall site organization
- Handle customer questions and ensure a smooth, professional experience
What We’re Looking For
- Comfortable and confident on the water (kayak/SUP experience required)
- Strong communication and customer handling skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work long outdoor shifts
- Available full-time, including weekends and peak summer periods
- Physically fit (lifting, moving equipment, being on feet for long hours)
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Paddle Canada certification or similar
- First Aid certification
- Previous experience in guiding, rentals, or outdoor operations

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
