About the Position:
Reporting to the Assembly Lead Hand, the Pipefitter will be responsible for layout, installing and assembling of process piping systems.
Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:
- Follow procedures and guidelines outlined in the NEXT Safety Manual and OHS Regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret prints, isometrics and P&ID’s.
- Skid levelling and layout.
- Installation of vessels and assembly of process piping systems as per P&ID.
- Installation of valves and control components as per P&ID.
- Ability to perform bolt up and torquing.
- Ability to select sch and size of pipe as per drawings or piping specifications.
- Cut, bevel pipe and assemble butt welded piping systems.
- Measure, cut, thread and assemble piping systems as per P&ID.
- Measure, cut and fit up of socket welded piping systems.
- Pneumatically test piping system.
- Hydro test piping systems.
- Fabricate, Install clamps, brackets and piping supports.
- Liaise with management, engineers, and other trades.
- Must have own hand tools.
Qualifications:
Experience Required
❑ Minimum of 2 years Compression packaging assembly experience preferred.
❑ Experience with assembly bolt up, pneumatic testing and pipe material knowledge.
❑ Safety oriented, demonstrate ability to maintain safety standards and be an active participant in NEXT safety program.
Education /Certifications Required
❑ Journeyman certification.
❑ Red Seal certification considered an asset.
❑ Valid Standard First Aid certification considered an asset.
❑ Valid Fall Protection / Fall Restraint certification considered an asset.

Working Conditions:
❑ Required to report to work fit for duty and always comply with the NEXT Drug and Alcohol Policy.
❑ Must be able to perform physical work that requires frequent lifting, walking, standing for extended periods.
❑ Will be required to complete WHMIS training.
❑ Will be required to complete Audiogram testing as part of our Health and Safety policies.
❑ Will be required to compete Respirator Fit Testing.
❑ Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $42.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
