Matrix HR is currently seeking experienced Journeyman/Woman Pipefitters for an upcoming shutdown. This role involves inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial flare systems and associated piping and mechanical components. Candidates must be safety-focused and comfortable working in industrial environments and at elevated heights.

Competencies required:
- Performing inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation work on industrial flare systems, including flare stacks, tips, pilots, piping systems, ignition systems, and associated mechanical components.
- Executing work in accordance with approved procedures, project specifications, and client requirements, including Client's proprietary flare methodologies.
- Supporting flare stack work performed at elevated heights, including from scaffolding, platforms, man-baskets, or lifts.
- Performing mechanical assembly, disassembly, alignment, bolting, and component replacement associated with flare systems.
- Coordinating work with supervision, inspectors, engineers, and client representatives, and supporting inspection and documentation requirements.
- Complying with all Client's safety policies, client site rules, and applicable OHS, federal, and Alberta regulations, and exercising stop-work authority where safety or operational risk exists.
- Demonstrated experience in related mechanical field roles, or the ability to be trained and qualified under Client's procedures.
- Ability to work safely in industrial and elevated environments, including outdoor and weather-exposed conditions.
- Ability to read and follow procedures, drawings, and safety documentation, and to communicate effectively in English.
- Physical capability to perform the essential duties of the role, including climbing, lifting, and working at height.
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, professionalism, and conduct while representing the Client.
