POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the President the Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and managing partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance reimbursement strategies. Responsibilities include fostering relationships with insurance providers, healthcare institutions, and industry partners to navigate complex reimbursement landscapes and ensure sustainable revenue growth.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a team of reimbursement associates providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to foster a high-performing team
- Assist in the implementation of new pharmaceutical product launches concerning the pharmacy services across Canada.
- Actively educate and act as a resource for launching and executing. educational/coaching programs for Chronic Disease Management including protocols and documentation forms.
- Coordinating and liaising with internal and external clients and consultants in the implementation of initiatives and services.
- Develop and identify best practices working with advanced practitioners, professional managers of pharmaceutical services, and other relevant healthcare professionals to achieve successful outcomes.
- Participate in negotiations and manage contracts with strategic partners to ensure favorable terms for reimbursement and service agreements that align with the organizational goals.
- Reviewing drug submissions, managing formularies and prior authorization requests and documentation
- Up to 30% of the time required for travelling within Canada.
- The Manager of Reimbursement Services will be assigned other duties as required from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- A college diploma or higher in a healthcare-related course is an asset.
- 5-7 years of experience in strategic partnership, healthcare reimbursement, or healthcare business development.
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies including insurance billing, coding practices and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and collaborate with internal and external partners.
- Experience with writing and implementing Standard Operations Procedures.
- Knowledge of Kroll and other pharmacy software systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and independently.
- Ease with working in a paperless environment.
- Time management skills and the ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
