Our team is looking for a full-time Project Controls Coordinator who is seeking a fast paced, dynamic workplace and is driven to go above and beyond to further their career. An important part of this role is working with a multidisciplinary engineering team that possess the ability to communicate effectively with people of all backgrounds. This role supports multiple project managers and engineers by coordinating financial scheduling and administrative controls of projects, ensuring accurate budgets, forecasts, schedules, and documentation. Being able to communicate your recommendations, path forward, decisions and decision basis’s is a key part of this role.
Requirements and Expectations:

· Ensuring accurate budgets, forecasts, schedules, and documentation

Responsibilities include but are limited to:
· Coordinate project cost control from award through closeout, including budget tracking, committed costs, and forecast updates;
· Review and reconcile vendor invoices for accuracy, contract compliance, and budget alignment;
· Support client invoicing by preparing and quality checking billings to ensure completeness and contract compliance;
· Maintain and update project schedules with project managers and engineers, monitoring milestones and flagging schedule risks early;
· Administer change orders, track scope changes, ensure documentation and approvals;
· Help coordinate purchase orders, subcontracts, and key deliverables to keep projects audit-ready;
· Produce regular project health reports covering budget, schedule, risks, and forecast;
· Act as the hub for project controls between Project Managers, Engineers, finance, clients, and vendors;
· Continuously look for process improvements in project controls and reporting;
· Use existing company templates, tools, and resources to operate day-to-day activities.
· Keep management up to date on status of initiatives and working tasks.
· Encourage value creation initiatives.
· Actively participate in and support internal and external development and training activities.
Qualifications:
· Diploma or degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience;
· Experience in project coordination, administration, finance, or related area is an asset, however we are willing to train the right person;
· Highly organized with strong attention to detail;
· Analytical and problem-solving mindset;
· Proficiency in Excel and comfort learning new systems;
· Clear communicator who works smoothly with engineers, clients, and vendors;
· Self-starter who can prioritize across multiple projects;
· Consulting or industrial project experience is a plus;
· Good working knowledge of both Office and Mac based products.
