Job Overview: We are looking for a versatile and customer-oriented Server/Bartender to join our Sala 61 team. In this role, you will not only serve drinks at the bar but also provide exceptional service to our dining guests, leagues and those watching our soccer games. The Server/Bartender position combines the responsibilities of a bartender and a server, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our patrons.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus and drink lists.
- Take drink and food orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Assist in preparing garnishes and setting up the bar area for service.
- Engage with guests to recommend drinks and answer questions about menu items.
- Serve food orders to guests seated at the bar or in the dining area.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address any issues promptly and courteously.
- Upsell additional items and promote specials to enhance guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and server station.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines, including responsible alcohol service practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bartender and/or server in a restaurant or bar setting.
- Strong knowledge of drink recipes, including classic cocktails and popular beverages.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and drink preparation.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Smart Serve Certification is mandatory
