Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Hand/Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to recipes and standards
- Cook and serve dishes as directed by the head chef or kitchen supervisor
- Handle food safely, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Support food service operations by plating dishes and assisting with serving when needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock levels
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with kitchen staff
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience in serving customers or working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is advantageous
- Kitchen experience including basic cooking skills, food handling, and sanitation practices is highly desirable
