Role Overview
At MCI Constructors, the Site Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, supervision, and execution of construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role blends hands-on construction expertise with strong leadership and organizational capability to deliver projects on time and within scope.
The successful candidate is a proactive leader who can effectively manage crews, adapt to evolving project demands, and maintain a strong focus on safety, accountability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Oversight
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring project milestones and performance targets are met
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively implement solutions
- Perform hands-on construction work as required to support project delivery
- Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead, coach, and support project crews to achieve productivity and quality expectations
- Organize, assign, and delegate work effectively based on priorities and timelines
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all company and legislative safety standards
- Conduct regular site inspections and address hazards promptly
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety and environmental requirements
Planning, Reporting & Administration
- Track and report on daily progress, labour, and site activities
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and project documentation
- Support project planning and scheduling
Skills, Knowledge & Behaviors
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of multiple construction trades and site practices
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft software and, ideally, Procore Project Management software
- Solid understanding of Ontario health, safety, and environmental regulations

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Superintendent or in a similar construction leadership role
- Valid G Class Driver’s License
- Proven experience managing construction crews and delivering projects on schedule and budget
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday (with flexibility based on project needs)
