Hilltop Greenhouses Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our team. This greenhouse labour position is a fast-paced position that will offer a variety of job duties through out the seasons.
About the role:
The Greenhouse team members assist the General Manager and Supervisor by supporting the day-to-day operations of the Greenhouse. The Greenhouse team members will be taught the skills necessary to work safely and efficiently, and they are expected to perform a wide variety of tasks within the Greenhouse, in the fields and various areas around the property.
Responsibilities:
· General clean up (Sweeping, Garbage, Recycle, Compost)
· Planting Line
· Seeding Line
· Crop cleaning and weeding
· Watering plants
· Picking crops
· Packing crops
· Moving crops
Candidate Requirements:
· MUST speak and communicate in English.
· Work is physically demanding and fast paced.
· Requires bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing.
· MUST be able to stand/walk for the whole shift.
· Ability to create and maintain good working relationships.
· Must be able to communicate and be a positive team member.
· Ability to work with a diverse team and with little supervision.
· Must be willing to get dirty, we work in a greenhouse with lots of dirty
· Must be reliable.
· Environment/climates vary in each location. Must be able to work outdoors and indoors in all types of weather.
· Hours fluctuate to accommodate business requirements.
· BONUS – if you have experience driving farm equipment including a forklift.
