Compensation: $25 to $27 per hour based on existing Class 1 Driving experience
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating Class 1 tractor-trailer combinations throughout Southern Alberta
- Performing city and regional deliveries
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Securing freight and ensuring load compliance
- Following Hours of Service regulations and company policies using the Motive Driver app.
- Communicating professionally with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Reporting safety concerns, incidents, or equipment defects promptly
- Maintaining your assigned equipment in clean and professional condition
Freight Handling
This position includes some hands-on freight work.
Drivers should be comfortable:
- Using manual and electric pallet jacks
- Operating power tailgates
- Assisting with loading and unloading when required
- Working safely in warehouse, dock, and customer locations
What We're Looking For:
- Valid Alberta Class 1 Driver's Licence
- Acceptable driver's abstract
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Must reside in or near the Lethbridge area
- Sorry, we offer no work permit support
Preferred
- Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience
- Experience with regional freight operations
- Knowledge of Southern Alberta highway and city routes
Strong entry-level drivers with a clean abstract and positive attitude are encouraged to apply.
Physical Requirements
This role includes regular physical activity and requires candidates to be able to:
- Walk, stand, bend, and climb safely throughout the workday
- Push and pull palletized freight using pallet jacks
- Safely operate power tailgates and delivery equipment
- Work around moving freight and equipment in warehouse and customer environments
