Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience and familiarity with various types of machinery and systems used in distribution centers. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management, mechanical operations, and logistics within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently
- Assist with order picking, packing, and packaging to ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and perform basic maintenance or notify maintenance teams as needed
- Load and unload materials from trucks or containers using appropriate heavy equipment
- Support warehouse organization by maintaining clean, safe, and efficient work areas
- Follow safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse procedures
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse distribution or manufacturing environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 is a plus
- Experience with order picking, shipping & receiving, packaging, and load & unload processes is beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and procedures is required
Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that demands attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
