The design and fabrication, diamond turning, CNC generating, high-speed conventional and computer-controlled polishing, coating and assembly processes are performed to very strict tolerances and conform to ISO 9001 standards.

Responsibilities

Assemble and/or troubleshoot mechanical assemblies following all established manufacturing processes and procedures in alignment with AS9100 standards
Repair or work on existing assemblies
Work with Engineering, Optics, Coating, Machine Shop and Quality Assurance on ensuring standards are met and product conforms to customer requirements
Participate in the development of new product release (testing, assembly process and documentation)

Qualifications
Desired Skills and Experience
Previous work experience in an AS9100 and Lean Manufacturing environment is an asset
Working knowledge of Kanban a definite asset
Good hand-eye coordination/dexterity
Solid mechanical aptitude and related abilities
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Good written and verbal command of the English language
Good interpersonal and communication skills that translate into working in a team based environment
Desired Education

Post Secondary Diploma – Mechanical Technician
1 – 2 years of experience in the field of mechanical assembly and troubleshooting electronic/mechanical devices
