Position Summary:
The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our senior residents. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and has a genuine interest in enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitizing:

Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of residents’ rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.

Ensure all surfaces, floors, and furniture are kept clean and free from dust, dirt, and debris.

Regularly clean and disinfect high-touch areas such as doorknobs, light switches, and handrails.

Laundry Services:

Manage the collection, washing, drying, and returning of residents’ personal laundry and linens.

Ensure proper handling and care of residents' garments to avoid damage.

Waste Management:

Empty and dispose of trash and recycling in designated areas.

Follow proper protocols for the disposal of hazardous waste materials.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.

Use cleaning chemicals safely and store them according to regulatory guidelines.

Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel immediately.

Resident Interaction:

Maintain a respectful and friendly demeanor when interacting with residents.

Be attentive to the needs and preferences of residents, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.

Communicate any resident concerns or requests to the appropriate staff.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous housekeeping experience preferred, especially in a healthcare or residential setting.

Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods.

Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
