Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Fish Plant Workers for the Caviar season starting August. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks associated with the processing and packaging of fish products in a fast-paced environment. Processing/cutting herring for ROE exportation. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to food safety and sanitation, along with a willingness to learn and grow within the food industry. Diverse workforce. NO LMIA's available but will support paperwork for PR when requested. Pay is 17.00 PLUS bonus depending on your effectiveness, productivity, and is dependent on your abilities/agility.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and equipment used in the fish processing and packaging operations.
- Perform butchery tasks including cutting, filleting, and portioning fish as required.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards through careful inspection during processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in the packaging of finished products for distribution while adhering to proper labeling guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in manufacturing or food processing is preferred.
- Familiarity with butchery techniques and meat cutting is a plus.
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices and food safety regulations.
- Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic equipment maintenance is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while following instructions closely.
