Residential Handyman Assistant
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in residential renovation and maintenance person
- Awareness of Health and Safety guidelines on the work site
- Must have own vehicle
- Own tools and safety equipment
Position Summary
This position is a lead hand to contractor primarily supporting pet friendly rental properties – up to 150 doors+ in the City of Calgary and residential renovation contracts. Varied level of skill required from minor repairs to demo and full kitchen and bath renovations, flooring, exterior work, decks, drywall and painting.
Skills Required
- Experienced use of hand and power tools; having some of own tools an asset
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Decision making and good judgement skills
- Highly organized and above average attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, as well as be part of a team
Duties and Responsibilities
- Able to use initiative to complete tasks required
- Flexibility to adjust variety of maintenance requirements based on current jobs and emergencies that may be required
- Willing to learn new skills
- Professional communication with customers and tenants
- Record keeping skills in order to track hours and duties on multitude of jobs
- Move out cleaning of rental suites as required
- Job site clean-up and organization daily
- Act as a back up to support some rental assistant duties which could include Move Out/In Inspections, property general maintenance requests.
Work Remotely
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
