Summary: The Freight Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of bakery ingredients, supplies, and products to customers. This role involves operating company vehicles, loading and unloading freight, maintaining delivery schedules, and providing excellent customer service while representing BakeMark professionally.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company delivery trucks to transport products to customers and distribution locations.
- Load, secure, and unload freight according to company safety procedures.
- Verify delivery orders, invoices, and product quantities before and after deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete required documentation.
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules to ensure on-time service.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips and report any maintenance or safety
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or appropriate state driver’s license (depending on position).
- Clean driving record.
- Previous delivery or freight driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy products (often 50–75 lbs).
