PBR Auctions is looking for a reliable and hardworking person to join our yard team.
This is a hands-on outdoor position for someone who is comfortable working around vehicles, equipment, merchandise, customers, and auction inventory. The right person should be dependable, physically capable, safety-minded, and willing to help wherever needed in the yard.
Forklift certification is preferred, but we are willing to work with the right candidate if they are willing to obtain certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading auction items
- Operate a forklift when required, once certified
- Move, organize, and stage auction inventory in the yard
- Help customers with pickup and drop-off of items
- Assist with vehicles, equipment, pallets, and general merchandise
- Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe
- Help prepare items for auction days
- Assist with basic inventory handling and item placement
- Work with the auction team to keep items moving efficiently
- Perform general yard duties as required
Qualifications
- Forklift certificate preferred, or willingness to obtain one
- Valid driver’s licence required
- Reliable transportation required
- Able to work outdoors in different weather conditions
- Able to lift, move, and handle auction items as needed
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Strong attention to safety
- Comfortable dealing with customers in a professional manner
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Experience with forklifts, equipment, trailers, vehicles, or yard work is an asset
Auction experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person.
