A Family Physician is seeking Medical Office Assistants for a six months temporary contract position. The applicants will be dependable, organized, and demonstrate the ability to provide good service to patients and their families in a professional and compassionate manner. Job description:
The roles include but are not limited to,
- Booking appointments, welcome and register patients for scheduled appointment
- Verify patient information and OHIP validation
- Manage inbound and outbound calls
- Process faxes, emails, and referrals
- Photocopy, scan and upload necessary reports to patients’ charts,
- Prepare vaccines for immunization
- Ordering office supplies
- Ensure cleanliness of the offices and exam rooms
- Maintaining cleanliness and autoclaving of equipment
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Diploma from community college in Medical Office Administration
- 1 - 2 years experience as Medical Office Assistant is preferred, application from recent graduates also welcomed
- Adept in using Microsoft Office
- EMR experience required, preferably PS Suites
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Job Types: Full-time temporary contract (starting from November 1st, 2026, to May 31st, 2027)
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- Occasional 1-2 Saturdays per 6 months may be needed
