Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled General IT Technician to support our organization's hardware, software, network, and technology infrastructure. The successful candidate will troubleshoot technical issues, maintain computer systems, assist users with IT-related problems, and help ensure the smooth operation of business technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Provide technical support to employees both remotely and on-site.
- Set up and manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
- Install, update, and maintain operating systems and business applications.
- Monitor and maintain local networks, Wi-Fi systems, and internet connectivity.
- Configure and troubleshoot email systems and cloud-based services.
- Perform regular system backups and assist with disaster recovery procedures.
- Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
- Assist with cybersecurity practices, including antivirus management, software updates, and user security awareness.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers when necessary.
- Maintain inventory records for IT assets and equipment.
- Support office technology such as phones, video conferencing systems, and security cameras.
- Assist with IT projects, upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
Qualifications
- Diploma, certificate, or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of IT support experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routers, and switches).
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with cloud services and remote support tools.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Active Directory and user management.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles.
- Experience supporting printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
- Familiarity with SQL databases and business software systems.
- Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or RPA platforms.
Pay: $18.20-$43.18 per hour
