Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient care in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments
- Support individuals with dementia or cognitive impairments through specialized care techniques
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Support clients with activities of daily living to enhance their quality of life
- Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home, or hospice care preferred
- Strong background in senior care and working with individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of dementia care and hospice services is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required
- Excellent caregiving skills with patience, compassion, and professionalism
- Ability to handle medication administration responsibly
- Capable of meal preparation tailored to specific dietary needs
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to different care environments and client needs
