Girl Guides of Canada–Guides du Canada (GGC) empowers every girl in Guiding to discover herself
and be everything she wants to be. In Guiding, girls from 5-17 meet with girls their own age in a safe,
inclusive space to explore what matters to them. GGC is actively searching for our next Program Manager.
This is an exciting mid-career opportunity to join a leading girl empowerment organization in a role that impacts the experience of tens of thousands of girls across Canada!
The Program Manager will oversee the development of a strategy that delivers relevant and empowering program experiences to GGC’s 75,000 girl members across Canada. Leading a team of writers, designers and editors, and overseeing the development and translation of all programmatic resources, this individual will engage with leaders in well-known partner organizations, researchers, evaluators, and GGC’s girl and volunteer base to achieve their vision. This role will also:
- Contribute to GGCs operational planning for country wide excellence in programming
- Be accountable for overall program quality assurance in non-formal education for girls and young women
- Work collaboratively with GGC’s fund development team to support the articulation of the value and impact of girl programming
- Lead the coordination and design of special program initiatives including GGC’s national service projects and WAGGGS international programming
- Procure, inform and analyze research to help design creative future program priorities for girls
- Chair the national Programming Committee

You are the model candidate if you have a talent for leading a multitalented staff team while working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders from girls and their parents, to our Board of Directors, in order to authentically lead a national programming strategy. You are skilled in leadership, strategic thinking, communication and non-formal education design to offer experiences that attract and retain tens of thousands of girls across Canada. You are a highly skilled leader and relationship builder with demonstrated management experience and communication skills, as well as have some know-how in sponsor engagement, budgetary planning, program evaluation, communications planning, and volunteer stewardship. You have the capacity to build and strengthen national partnerships that support the overarching program delivered by Canada’s leader in girl empowerment.
