General Assembly Pizza is seeking a reliable, experienced Closing Kitchen Lead to support our evening and late-night operations. This role is designed for someone who can bring consistency and strong kitchen fundamentals to the close, while working alongside our existing supervisors and kitchen leadership team.
You do not need to be an experienced pizza maker to succeed here. We are happy to train the right person, provided you have kitchen experience, understand the importance of a disciplined close and are eager to learn and grow with the company.

IN THIS ROLE
The Closing Kitchen Lead supports the kitchen team through service and helps ensure the restaurant is properly cleaned, restocked, organized and ready for the following day. This is a hands-on support role rather than an additional management position, but it requires sound judgment, ownership and previous experience helping to lead or supervise a kitchen close.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support evening and late-night kitchen service and assist the team wherever needed.
· Assist with all closing duties and help ensure closing checklists are completed accurately and on time.
· Restock ingredients, packaging and operating supplies for the next service.
· Maintain cleanliness, organization and readiness throughout the kitchen and restaurant.
· Follow and reinforce food safety, sanitation, health and safety standards.
· Support proper product storage, labelling, rotation and waste control.
· Assist with basic ordering, inventory awareness and communicating shortages or operational needs to kitchen management.
· Model GA Pizza standards, operating procedures and a calm, professional approach during busy services.
· Help create a respectful, productive and accountable working environment.
· Perform other kitchen and closing duties as required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
· Previous professional kitchen experience is required.
· Pizza-making experience is preferred, but we can train the right candidate.
· Previous closing lead, shift lead or closing supervisor experience.
· Working knowledge of ordering, inventory, restocking and end-of-night procedures.
· Knowledge of municipal health, food safety and sanitation requirements.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Able to work independently, take ownership and support the team without constant direction.
· Eager to learn, improve and grow within the company.
· Open availability for approximately 3-4 shifts per week, including nights, possible late-night shifts, weekends and at least one weekday evening.
· Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry standard kitchen supplies and ingredients.
